Sr J2EE Software Engineer
The NFL Digital Media Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who will be
part of a team of software engineers that will architect, implement, and maintain
various web applications for the NFL from inception to launch and beyond. The web
applications include high volume, public facing websites, content management
systems, internal tools, and backend processes.
Job Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and support new, custom software applications for the
league’s digital media business.
Help build out a suite of online applications for NFL properties.
Work to develop online community and social networking features.
Work closely in a team with other software engineers, quality assurance, web
developers, and project management.
Meet aggressive performance and scalability goals to address unique traffic
patterns and emergence of new technologies.
Guide other engineers on architecture, implementation and advanced technologies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in Computer Science
Expertise with Java and Java web based technologies. (Java, Spring, Hibernate,
JDBC)
5-7 years of progressively responsible related technical experience
Proven experience with one or more of the following:
Complex, high-traffic web applications
Content Managment Systems (e.g. alfresco, documentum)
Feed processing
Data migration
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to meet aggressive implementation deadlines
Apache, Tomcat experience required.
Lucene, JBoss, experience a plus
Application Design/Architecture a must
Knowledge of sports and experience in online media preferred a plus
